What do you see when you close your eyes?
What do you see when you dream?
What worlds do you visit in your imagination?
Is it all so different to mine?

I see lands and creatures known only in myth,
Knights, wizards, kings and their queens,
Heroes and spies, pirates and thieves,
Adventures galore have I lived.

Atlantis, unicorns and the mighty dragon,
Jousts and duels, magic and majesty,
Passion, excitement, fear and awe,
Treasures and justice I've won them.

My favourite of all is to fly through the air,
Swooping over lands unknown,
My arms wrapped around a large scaly neck,
Wishing for wings of my own.

A ride on a dragon, oh what a dream,
To live the adventure once more,
For now I return to my own humble world,
And from my dream-world withdraw.
